Job summary

Altercare Canal Winchester in Canal Winchester, OH is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to work under the Charge Nurse and safely administer prescribed medications while performing other duties. Full-time day shifts are available with additional part-time opportunities.

Applicants must have at least one year of CNA/STNA experience and hold an Ohio Board of Nursing Medication Aide Certification. Training and career growth are emphasized with strong benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a CNA or STNA.
• Completion of an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program with active Medication Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
• Maintain full knowledge of duties, responsibilities and accountability.
• Document in the medical record and maintain confidentiality.

This Certified Medication Adie will be a CNA | STNA will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse and will administer prescription medication as well as perform other duties. This individual will maintain full knowledge of duties, responsibilities and accountability and shall act in accordance with the laws pertaining to administration of medication by a certified medication aide. The Certified Medication Aide will document in the medical record and maintain confidentially.

Requirements for this position:

A minimum of one year experience as a CNA | STNA, and completed an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program with an active, unrestricted, Medication Aide Certification by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
