Job summary

Altercare Somerset in Somerset, OH is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work evening shifts. This role supports licensed nurses by administering prescribed medications and performing related duties under the Charge Nurse's direction.

Requirements include at least one year as a CNA/STNA and completion of an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program with an active, unrestricted Certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a CNA or STNA.
• Must have completed an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program.
• Must hold an active, unrestricted Medication Aide Certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications under supervision.
• Document medication administration in medical records.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with nursing laws.
• Work under the direction of the Charge Nurse.

Certified Medication Aide Position Summary:

This Certified Medication Adie will be a CNA | STNA will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse and will administer prescription medication as well as perform other duties.

This individual will maintain full knowledge of duties, responsibilities and accountability and shall act in accordance with the laws pertaining to administration of medication by a certified medication aide. The Certified Medication Aide will document in the medical record and maintain

confidentially.

Requirements for this position:

A minimum of one year experience as a CNA | STNA, and completed an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program with an active, unrestricted, Medication Aide Certification by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
