Job summary

Altercare Canal Winchester is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to work under the supervision of the Charge Nurse. The CMA will administer prescribed medications and perform related duties within the facility in Canal Winchester, OH.

The role requires a minimum of one year as a CNA/STNA and completion of an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program with active certification. Full-time day shifts are available, with part-time opportunities as well.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience as a CNA/STNA.
• Completed an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program with active certification.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescription medication under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
• Document in the medical record and maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain knowledge of duties and responsibilities in line with medication administration laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned by nursing leadership.

Certified Medication Aide Position Summary:
This Certified Medication Aide will be a CNA | STNA will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse and will administer prescription medication as well as perform other duties.
This individual will maintain full knowledge of duties, responsibilities and accountability and shall act in accordance with the laws pertaining to administration of medication by a certified medication aide. The Certified Medication Aide will document in the medical record and maintain
confidentially.
Requirements for this position: A minimum of one year experience as a CNA | STNA, and completed an Ohio Board of Nursing approved Medication Aide Training Program with an active, unrestricted, Medication Aide Certification by the Ohio Board of Nursing.
