Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. seeks a Certified Medication Aide in Oklahoma City, OK to provide direct patient care, monitor vital signs, and assist with daily living activities in a correctional healthcare setting.

You will document observations, report changes in patient conditions, and support clinical staff while maintaining a safe, clean environment and handling basic supplies and scheduling tasks.

Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted Oklahoma license/certification in good standing.
• Preferred current certification in good standing by the Oklahoma State Department of Health for Glucose Monitoring and Insulin Administration.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience within the last 3 years as a Certified Medication Aide.
• Copy of current PSV from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).

Responsibilities

• Performs direct nursing tasks including vital signs, ADL assistance, hygiene, and basic specimen collection.
• Charts observations and reports pertinent changes in patient condition.
• Performs delegated or specialized functions as trained.
• Maintains a clean, safe environment.
• Orders, receives, stores supplies and performs basic clerical duties.
• Participates in follow-up activities and scheduling of appointments.
• Provides case finding and recruitment for health services.

Certified Medication Aide Job Description

• Performs direct nursing tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living and hygiene needs, and obtaining certain lab specimens.
• Charts observations and activities, reporting pertinent changes in the patient’s condition.
• Performs delegated or other specialized functions as educationally prepared.
• Assists in maintaining and providing a clean, safe environment.
• Orders, receives and stores supplies and performs basic clerical functions.
• Participates in follow-up activities and tracking clients, schedules appointments and performs other related tasks.
• Provides case finding and recruitment of at risk persons for comprehensive health services.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted Oklahoma license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Prefers current certification in good standing by the Oklahoma State Department of Health for Glucose Monitoring and Insulin Administration.
• Minimum of 1 yearsof recent experience within the last 3 years as a Certified Medication Aide.
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., .BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
