HAN Staff is seeking a Certified Medication Aide - Level 3 for Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This role supports direct patient care in a correctional healthcare setting, including taking vital signs and assisting with daily living activities under supervision.

You will maintain accurate charts, help with lab specimen collection, ensure a safe environment, manage supplies, and collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care.

Qualifications

  • Preferred OS Health Dept glucose monitoring/insulin administration certification.

Certified Medication Aide Job Description:
  • Performs direct nursing tasks including taking vital signs, assisting with activities of daily living and hygiene needs, and obtaining certain lab specimens.
  • Charts observations and activities, reporting pertinent changes in the patient's condition.
  • Performs delegated or other specialized functions as educationally prepared.
  • Assists in maintaining and providing a clean, safe environment.
  • Orders, receives and stores supplies and performs basic clerical functions.
  • Participates in follow-up activities and tracking clients, schedules appointments and performs other related tasks.
  • Provides case finding and recruitment of at risk persons for comprehensive health services.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Current, valid, and unrestricted Oklahoma license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
  • Prefers current certification in good standing by the Oklahoma State Department of Health for Glucose Monitoring and Insulin Administration.
  • Minimum of 1 years of recent experience within the last 3 years as a Certified Medication Aide.
  • Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
  • Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents (e.g., BLS, N95 fit test, immunization records, TB test, or other client-specific requirements).
