Job summary

Alcoeur Gardens in Toms River, NJ, is seeking a part-time Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for per diem shifts. Responsibilities include delivering medications, coordinating with nurses, recording dosages, monitoring for side effects, and assisting residents with daily living activities.

Here at Alcoeur Gardens, Toms River, we are a 19-bedroom memory care community where we care for all levels of dementia and Alzheimer's residents.

We are currently interviewing for the following shifts:

• Fridays 4 PM - 8 PM
• Weekends 7 AM - 1 PM & 4 PM - 8 PM
• WEEKDAYS AS NEEDED

Per Diem for multiple shifts

Job description:

Part - Time CMA Needed ~ Must be certified as a Certified Medication Aide.

• Deliver routine daily medications, either prescription or non-prescription, to residents.
• Coordinate with nurses to assist with patient care and medications.
• Follow written or verbal instructions on how to manage medications.
• Record medication dosages and times.
• Gather samples for analysis.
• Uphold all health and safety standards.
• Monitor and document vital signs, changes in resident conditions, and any side effects from medications.
• Assist with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
• Provide support for residents with Alzheimer’s disease/dementia.
• Engage with residents to promote emotional well-being and social interaction.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety within the living environment to enhance resident comfort.
