Job summary

Settlers Ridge Care Center in Celina, TX seeks full-time Certified Medication Aides (CMA) to join our team. You will administer medications to residents under a licensed nurse, following the five rights and facility policy.

The CMA role requires state nurse aide certification and a medication administration credential, plus excellent observation and communication skills to ensure resident safety and well-being. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• State certification as a nurse aide is required.

Responsibilities

• Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
• Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
• Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
