Reunion Plaza Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center in Texarkana, OK is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for full-time day shifts from 8am to 8pm. You will administer medications under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following state and federal regulations and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Must hold state CNA certification and medication administration certification.
• Strong observation and communication skills required.
• Experience in resident care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer oral and topical medications as ordered under nurse supervision.
• Follow the five rights of medication administration and document accordingly.
• Monitor residents for reactions and report to a licensed nurse.
• Prepare PRN medications per state regulations and facility policy.
• Maintain accurate medication records and ensure safe medication practices.

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Key Responsibilities

• Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
• Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
• Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.

Certified Medication Aide (CMA) Qualifications

• State certification as a nurse aide is required
• State approved medication administration certification
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide
• Highly developed observation skills
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
