A leading healthcare provider is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support the healthcare needs of underserved populations within correctional facilities. The role involves assisting with patient care activities, maintaining safety, and ensuring compliance with medication protocols. The mission of Correctional Managed Care is to address the healthcare needs of underserved patient populations within the Texas Department of Criminal Justice and the Texas Juvenile Justice Department.
Performs technical duties in patient care and participates in the general health care of patients by assisting with cleanliness, grooming, rest, activity, nourishment, and medication distribution. Assists professional staff in maintaining a safe therapeutic environment.
Uses standard patient care supplies, equipment, and mechanical devices.
Located within a prison, jail, or juvenile detention center. Security clearance and pre-employment drug testing are required.
This is a non-benefit eligible, hourly position limited to 19 hours per week.
