Job summary

Resthaven seeks a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift to administer routine medications to residents under licensed supervision. Eligible CNAs achieving CMA certification are encouraged, with a sign-on bonus for full-time and part-time hires.

The role requires Michigan CMA certification and adherence to state regulations. Pay ranges from $19.50–$22.29 per hour plus shift differential, with compensation based on experience and licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Must have completed 2,000 hours as a nurse aide in the past two years.

Responsibilities

• Administer non-parenteral medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document medication administration accurately and promptly.
• Observe residents for adverse reactions and report to a licensed nurse.
• Adhere to the Five Rights of medication administration.
• Assist residents with ADLs when not administering medications.
• Maintain medication security and proper storage procedures.
• Participate in shift reports and interdisciplinary communication.
• Comply with infection control, safety, and resident rights standards.
