Job description

The Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Claiborne Senior Living, LLC in Martinez, Georgia, is responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate administration of medication to our senior residents.

This is a full-time, hourly healthcare/medical position, and the CMA will be an individual contributor.

The CMA will provide compassionate care and assistance to residents, while maintaining accurate documentation and records.

This position reports to the Director of Nursing and offers a competitive hourly wage.

Responsibilities:
  1. Administer medications to residents according to prescribed orders and in compliance with state regulations and facility policies.
  2. Maintain accurate documentation and records of administered medications.
  3. Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects from medications and report any concerns to the Director of Nursing.
  4. Assist residents with activities of daily living, including dressing, grooming, and bathing.
  5. Maintain a clean and safe medication cart and storage area.
  6. Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
  7. Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.
Requirements:
  1. Must be a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in the state of Georgia.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent.
  3. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably with senior residents.
  4. Knowledge of medication administration and accurate documentation skills.
  5. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate attitude.
  6. Ability to work well in a team and follow instructions from healthcare professionals.
  7. Must pass background check and drug screening.
  8. CPR / First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.
