Job summary

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a Certified Medication Aide for the Winfield Correctional Facility in Winfield, Kansas. This full-time Day Shift role administers medications and helps ensure patient safety in a controlled facility environment.

The CMA must possess a current CMA certificate. Correctional or behavioral health experience is desirable but not required. VitalCore offers competitive wages, an annual incentive bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current and valid CMA certificate.
• Works in accordance with local practice acts and regulations, and functions to other competent nursing personnel appropriate to their scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Delivers quality care within the CMA scope of practice and maintains a safe environment for patients and staff.
• Adheres to facility policies and acts with accountability for quality of care during work hours.
• Supports routine duties as assigned by supervising clinicians within the correctional setting.

The CMA delivers quality care consistent within the scope of practice as outlined by the local state. The CMA assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of care delivered during work hours; works to ensure a safe environment for themselves, the patient and other staff members.
