Job summary

Harmony Marshalltown seeks a Certified Medication Aide (PRN / On-Call) to join a friendly, skilled nursing team. You will administer medications and monitor residents’ conditions, ensuring accuracy and safety in daily care.

You will work with the clinical staff to support Activities of Daily Living, observe changes, and respond promptly to resident needs. The role emphasizes attention to detail and compassionate care in a busy facility.

Qualifications

• As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
• An unencumbered State of Iowa CNA certificate.
• Successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training.
• CPR certification.
• One year of CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide residents with medications and monitor changes in condition.
• Perform Activities of Daily Living and maintain a safe environment.
• Maintain education and communicate changes to the clinical team.

Responsibilities

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Harmony Marshalltown by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

Eligibility Requirements

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
