Job summary

Lake Mills Care Center is seeking Certified Medication Aides to join our friendly, caring team. As the front line of the Clinical Department, you will administer medications, assist residents with daily living activities, and monitor health changes to ensure a high standard of care.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, an Iowa CNA certificate, approved Medication Aide training, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate required.
• Medication Aide training approved by the State of Iowa required.
• CPR certification required.
• Minimum 1 year CNA and Medication Aide experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and monitor residents' health.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Observe changes in residents' condition.
• Maintain a safe environment and provide education.
• Deliver compassionate care aligned with Lake Mills Care Center standards.

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Lake Mills Care Center by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
