Job summary

Emmetsburg Care Center is seeking a PRN Medication Aide to join a friendly, caring team in Emmetsburg, Iowa. You will help residents with medications, assist with activities of daily living, monitor conditions, and uphold a safe, supportive environment.

The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma or equivalent, an Iowa CNA certificate, Iowa-approved Medication Aide training, and CPR certification. One year of CNA and Medication Aide experience is preferred; Emmetsburg Care Center is an equal

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Unencumbered Iowa CNA certificate is required.
• State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• One year of CNA and Medication Aide experience is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Front line of the Clinical Department, ensuring residents receive the medications they need.
• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living.
• Observe changes in condition and maintain patient safety.
• Maintain an education and safe environment for residents.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

State of Iowa CNA certificate

State of Iowa Medication Aide training

CPR certification

One year CNA and Medication Aide experience preferable

As a Medication Aide you are the front line of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Emmetsburg Care Center by providing our residents with the medications they need, performing Activities of Daily Living, observing changes in condition, ensuring a safe environment, and maintaining education. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they are comfortable and safe.

To be eligible for consideration applicants should have:

As a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent, an unencumbered State of Iowa C.N.A. certificate, successful completion of State of Iowa approved Medication Aide training and C.P.R. certification. One (1) year of C.N.A. and Medication Aide experience is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate.
