Job summary

Claremore Skilled Nursing & Therapy is seeking a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team and help administer medications as prescribed, while advancing your nursing career through education and certifications.

You will document medication administration, monitor effects and side effects, and support residents with daily living activities, reporting changes as needed. We offer a 100% employee-owned environment and career ladders (CNA, RN, and beyond).

Qualifications

• Valid CMA certification is required.
• Experience in Skilled Nursing or Long-term Care preferred.

• Administer, assist, and supervise the administration of medications according to the physician's order.
• Document medications administered, along with their effectiveness and any side effects. Update the patient's chart.
• Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene, including shaving, oral care, nail care, hair care, foot care, toileting, eating, and mobility.
• Observe and report changes in the resident's physical condition and cognitive/emotional status, as needed.
