Qualifications

• Current certification as a Medication Aide in Texas.
• Completion of a state-approved Medication Aide & Nurse Aide training program.
• Basic knowledge of medication administration principles and long-term care practices.
• Ability to pass a background check and meet health screening requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.

Responsibilities

• Administer prescribed medications to residents according to care plans and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor residents for adverse reactions or side effects and report concerns promptly.
• Maintain accurate medication records and documentation per facility policies.
• Assist with preparation and organization of medication carts and supplies.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to support care and adherence.
