Brooke Grove Retirement Village in Olney, MD is seeking a CMA - Certified Medicine Aide for PRN daytime or evening shifts. You will administer medications according to physician orders, monitor residents, and observe for side effects while upholding infection control and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Current MD geriatric nursing assistant registration.
• Current MD medication aide registration.

Responsibilities

• State the purpose of medications administered.
• State the side effects of medications administered.
• Administers medications per physician orders.
• Uses proper techniques in administering medications and identifies residents prior to administration.
• Employs infection control techniques and proper hand hygiene.
• Signs each medication administered in the medication record immediately after administering.
• Circles medication not administered and reports to Charge Nurse.
• Reports medication errors promptly to the Charge Nurse.
