Certified Medication Aide - Assisted Living (AL)/Part Time Hours Available!

  • Hourly Rate Range: $20.00 - $22.00

As a Certified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for the safe administration of prescribed medications and treatments, providing personal care and general nursing care to residents, and supporting their Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), room cleanliness, scheduled activities, and dining services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise self-administered medication in compliance with regulations and company guidelines, under the supervision of licensed nurses or the Assisted Living Director.
  2. Count and document narcotics with authorized personnel, report discrepancies immediately.
  3. Order medications and treatments, monitor supply levels, and notify supervisors of shortages.
  4. Verify medication accuracy upon receipt, store medications properly, and ensure proper labeling and expiration dates.
  5. Conduct weekly medication inspections and reconcile MARs during shift changes, reporting discrepancies.
  6. Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and feeding.
  7. Perform basic nursing duties including vital signs, blood pressure, and weight measurements.
  8. Maintain accurate documentation, including medical charts and daily logs.
  9. Respond to resident calls and assist with their needs.
  10. Clean and restock medication carts regularly, participate in staff training.
  11. Ensure timely completion of medical records for new admissions and readmissions, within 48 hours as per policy.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, or related experience/training.
  • Minimum 1 month experience, preferably in senior living.
  • Current Medication Technician certification (state-specific).
  • Proficiency in English and basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Passion for helping seniors and strong team orientation.
