Ranchwood Nursing Center in Yukon, OK is seeking full-time Certified Medication Aides to join our team. You will administer oral and topical medications to residents under the supervision of a licensed nurse, following physician orders and state/federal rules.

Qualifications

Certified Medication Aide Key Responsibilities:

• Administers medication as ordered by a physician under the supervision of a licensed nurse, in accordance with any state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the “five rights” of medication administration.
• Records the administration of medications and/or treatments appropriately.
• Observes for and reports any reactions and/or side effects of medications to a licensed nurse on the appropriate shift.
• Administers PRN medications in accordance with state and federal regulations and consistent with facility policy.

Certified Medication Aide Qualifications:

• State certification as a Nurse Aide is required
• State certification as a Medication Aide is required
• State approved medication administration certification
• Complete familiarity with duties of a certified nurse aide
