Job summary

Greene Point Health & Rehab seeks a dedicated Certified Medication Aide to administer medications and provide compassionate care to residents. You will follow physician orders, document actions, and monitor for adverse reactions in the resident records, while maintaining strict safety and privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• GA Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) required.
• GA Certified Medication Aide (CMA) preferred.
• Strong computer and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal medications.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 per physician direction and clinical guidelines.
• Conduct finger-stick blood glucose testing following established clinical guidelines.
• Document medication administration in the resident's record and report reactions to resident, family, and health care provider.
• Store and dispose of medications properly; assist with dressing changes as needed.
