Job summary

Stevens Park Health & Rehab is seeking a Certified Medication Aide to administer physician-ordered medications and provide routine care in a compassionate, patient-centered setting.

You will perform insulin and other injections as directed, monitor glucose, document all activities, and report any adverse reactions to the nursing staff and family. Georgia credentials are required for success in this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CNA in Georgia required.
• Certified Medication Aide in Georgia required.

Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal medications.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 per physician direction and clinical guidelines.
• Administer medications via a metered dose inhaler.
• Conduct finger-stick blood glucose testing.
• Document medication administration and any declinations in the resident’s record.
• Report unusual reactions to medication to the nurse, resident, family, and physician.
• Properly store and dispose of medications.
• Provide routine patient care: bathing, grooming, dressing as needed.
• Complete dressing changes per guidelines and physician orders.
• Report changes to the licensed nurse.
