Responsibilities

• Administer physician-ordered oral, ophthalmic, topical, otic, nasal, vaginal and rectal medications.
• Administer insulin, epinephrine, and B12 per physician direction and guidelines.
• Administer medications via metered dose inhaler.
• Conduct finger-stick glucose testing per guidelines.
• Document medication administration in resident records.
• Store and dispose of medications properly.
• Provide routine care (bathing, grooming, dressing) as needed.
• Report changes to the licensed nurse and care team.
