About the Role:

As a Certified Medication Aide, you will be responsible for administering medications to residents under the supervision of licensed nurses. This critical role requires attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to ensuring the highest level of patient care.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed by physicians and under the supervision of licensed nurses
  • Monitor residents for adverse reactions to medications and report any concerns to licensed nurses
  • Document medication administration and resident responses in accordance with facility policies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for residents
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including medication administration records and incident reports
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve resident outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Current certification as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) in the state of Nebraska
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
