Job summary

Texas Oncology – Deke Slayton Webster location seeks a full-time Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D. or M.S.) to join the team. Open to a 2026 Physics Resident graduate who may begin before July 1, 2026. The role focuses on precise delivery of radiation treatment plans and safety for patients and staff.

The team collaborates across 10 cancer centers with advanced equipment such as TrueBeam, C-Series, ARIA ROIS, Eclipse, and RadCalc. Houston area benefits accompany a strong professional community.

Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited college or university.
• Must be ABR certified, or have completed a CAMPEP approved residency and be board eligible, with clinical experience.
• Texas Medical Board license required or must be obtained.

Responsibilities

• Full range of on-site clinical medical physics support to include HDR.
• Support and participate in physics support for the Gulf Coast Region.
• Occasionally travel to sites within the region for on-site physics support.
• Determines the need for, specifies, and accesses dosimetric and treatment planning equipment and monitoring devices.
• Advises and consults with physicians to provide guidance to technical staff during planning or treatment.
