Job summary

Blue United in Valdosta, GA seeks an experienced Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) to join a comprehensive outpatient cancer center. This full-time position involves collaborating with Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists, and Therapists to deliver safe, accurate radiotherapy plans using advanced planning systems.

Ideal candidates hold CMD certification, a Bachelor's degree, CPR, and 2+ years of IMRT planning experience, with a strong grasp of radiation oncology equipment and safety

Qualifications

• CMD certification through MDCB is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification is required.
• 2+ years of IMRT planning experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of radiation oncology equipment and medical physics.
• Ability to communicate technical aspects to clinicians and therapists.
• Knowledge of Georgia radiation oncology rules and regulations.
• Strong math skills and 3D visualization of anatomy.

Responsibilities

• Design individualized radiation treatment plans per the physician's prescription.
• Generate dose distributions and calculations with Medical Physicist and Oncologist.
• Develop plans for 3D, IMRT, SBRT modalities while considering dose limits.
• Provide physics and technical support for image fusion.
• Assist with brachytherapy procedures as needed.
• Serve as a technical resource for therapists during plan implementation.
• Verify accuracy of treatment calculations and document data in EHR.
