Responsibilities

• Develop individualized radiation treatment plans based on prescriptions and clinical goals.
• Perform treatment planning for diverse radiation oncology cases.
• Calculate dose distributions and planning parameters.
• Use Eclipse TPS to create, evaluate, and optimize plans.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists to meet clinical objectives.
• Verify plan accuracy with medical physicists and therapists.
• Coordinate patient setup and treatment delivery requirements.
• Review CT data, anatomy, volumes, and organs at risk.
• Assist with contouring support and planning prep as appropriate.
• Optimize plans to maximize target coverage and minimize healthy tissue dose.
• Perform plan evaluations using DVHs and other tools.
• Complete accurate calculation and documentation of treatments.

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) for a 13-week onsite contract assignment in Greenbrae, California.

This position is ideal for a dosimetrist with 3–5 years of recent clinical experience and strong proficiency with Eclipse Treatment Planning. The Medical Dosimetrist will work closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, radiation therapists, and other oncology professionals to create safe, accurate, and clinically appropriate radiation treatment plans.

Candidates must hold an active Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) credential and be comfortable working independently in a hospital-based radiation oncology environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop individualized radiation treatment plans based on physician prescriptions and clinical goals.
• Perform treatment planning for a variety of radiation oncology cases.
• Calculate radiation dose distributions and treatment parameters.
• Use Eclipse Treatment Planning System to create, evaluate, and optimize treatment plans.
• Collaborate with radiation oncologists to ensure treatment plans meet clinical objectives.
• Work closely with medical physicists to verify plan accuracy and technical feasibility.
• Coordinate with radiation therapists regarding patient setup and treatment delivery requirements.
• Review CT simulation data, patient anatomy, treatment volumes, and organs at risk.
• Assist with contouring support and treatment-planning preparation as appropriate.
• Optimize treatment plans to achieve target coverage while minimizing dose to healthy tissue.
• Perform plan evaluations using dose-volume histograms and other clinical planning tools.

Required Qualifications

Candidates must have:

• Active Certified Medical Dosimetrist (CMD) certification
• Minimum 3–5 years of Medical Dosimetry experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Eclipse Treatment Planning
• Recent radiation oncology treatment-planning experience
• Strong knowledge of radiation dose calculations and treatment-planning principles
• Ability to evaluate and optimize complex treatment plans
• Strong attention to detail and patient-safety awareness
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary oncology environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Clinical Experience

Strong candidates may also have experience with:
