Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma.

• Working knowledge of federal and state reimbursement regulations.
• Experience with an electronic medical record (eMR) system.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records for coding accuracy and documentation compliance.
• Selects and assigns ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS codes from chart documentation.
• Enters charges into the practice management billing system and performs QA on batches.
• Resolves charge router and charge review edits as needed.
• Requests documentation clarification from physicians as appropriate.
• Participates in audits and mandatory compliance training.
