The community you’ll be caring for:

· More than 800 physicians, 450+ advanced practice providers, and 2,600 clinical and support staff in over 40 specialties, provide patients with a broad range of medical and surgical services.

The role you’ll contribute:

The Medical Assistant-Radiology Certified provides appropriate care to patients within the scope of the Medical Practice Act and performs basic X-Ray procedures. This individual obtains clinical, financial and demographic patient data and assists in patient education. Also responsible for assisting providers during the treatment and examination of patients and administers procedures and treatments as ordered by the provider. Performs front office duties as needed and assigned.

  • Participates in the collection of quality data
  • Assists clinical staff providers with providing patients with outside resources and materials
  • Assists in identifying and documenting cultural and linguistic needs of patients
  • Assists in identifying and documenting advanced directives
  • Assists clinical staff and providers with obtaining ER and Hospital information
  • Assists in arranging follow up appointments as indicated by clinical staff and providers
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of a medical assisting program in lieu of experience
  • 1+ Years of practical medical assisting experience
  • BLS - Basic Life Support R
  • CRT or BMO
  • American Association of Medical Assistants (“AAMA”) for Certified Medical Assistants Upon Hire OR
  • American Medical Certification Association (“AMCA”) for Clinical Medical Assistant Certification Upon Hire OR
  • National Association for Health Professionals (“NAHP”) for Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant Upon Hire OR
  • National Center for Competency Testing (“NCCT”) for National Certified Medical Assistant Upon Hire OR
  • National Health career Association (“NHA”) for Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Upon Hire OR
  • American Registry of Medical Assistant (“ARMA”) Upon Hire
Preferred qualifications:
  • Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program and radiology program
  • 1+ Years of medical office experience
  • Experience with computers and associated clinical software
