Job summary

Jamestown Healing Clinic in Sequim, WA is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant to support an integrated care team across primary care, dental, behavioral health, and substance use treatment. You will assist with patient intake, vitals, and documentation while ensuring privacy and respectful care.

You will perform urine drug screens, EKGs, venipuncture, immunizations, and basic lab tasks under supervision, with a focus on accuracy and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Complete 1–2 years of an accredited Medical Assistant Program.
• Maintain Washington State Health Care Assistant certification at levels A, C, and E.
• Experience in phlebotomy.
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding procedures and billing processes.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Able to pass a criminal background check.
• Uphold vaccine requirements for employment.
• Valid Washington State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Room patients, take vitals, document history and chief complaint per protocol.
• Provide UA collection and processing with proper procedures.
• Process orders, prescriptions, and pre-certifications.
• Aid provider with follow-up care and test results.
• Assist with EKGs, venipuncture, immunizations, and wound care.
• Maintain records and ensure confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Schedule tests, referrals, and coordinate with staff.
