Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation is seeking staff to provide personal care assistance to patients under supervision. The role includes direct patient care, triage and rooming, and ensuring patient safety, along with basic clerical tasks and ongoing training.

You will participate in educational activities and work to meet set goals. The position requires one year of experience and completion of an approved nursing or medical assistant course.

• Proficiency with computer tasks and maintaining certification is expected.

Job Summary

Provides personal care assistance to patients under the direction of licensed personnel and /or Administrator.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care duties as assigned.
• Triage and rooming of patients
• Provides for patient safety.
• Possesses the ability to perform day to day clerical task and related duties.
• Participates in ongoing educational activities.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

• Minimum of one year experience.

Education

• Skill in communicating clearly and effectively using standard English in written, oral and verbal format to achieve high productivity and efficiency. Skill to write legibly and record information accurately as necessary to perform job duties.

Training

• Approved nursing or medical assistant course

Special Skills

• Computer literacy. Maintain Certification

Preferred/Desired

• Phlebotomy experience

Licensure

• Certified by an approved accredited certification body or certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire date. ,BLS certification within 14 days of hire date
