Job summary

SMG Family Medicine in Hampton, VA is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join our team. The position is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, with floating duties as needed and mileage reimbursement.

Certification is required at hire, with options CMA, RMA, CCMA, or EMT-B, and BLS within 90 days. New grads welcome to apply; a $5,000 sign-on bonus is offered for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalency.
• Must have one of the following on the first day: CMA, RMA, CCMA or EMT-B.
• BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
• Phlebotomy experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient care and administrative/clerical duties as directed by the supervising clinician.
• Ensure patient safety and follow department policies and procedures.
• Provide efficient daily operations and appropriate inter-departmental communication.
