Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.
• Current CMA/CCMA/RMA certification required.
• Minimum 1 year work experience as a medical assistant in a clinical setting preferred; cardiovascular experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist providers and nurses with patient care and procedures.
• Greet and room patients, take vitals, update history, prepare for exam/procedures.
• Enter orders and document results in the EHR.
• Coordinate with RN to provide triage and patient education.
• Organize medication samples and maintain stock; assist with supplies as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
• Respond to calls from patients and other offices in a timely manner.
