Responsibilities
  • Receive and respond to prescription refill requests through various communication channels, including phone, email, and fax
  • Verify the validity and accuracy of prescription refill requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines
  • Prepare and dispense prescription refills accurately, following established organizational protocols
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with internal and external stakeholders
  • Compile and analyze data to track key performance indicators related to prescription refill processing
Qualifications
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent
  • Certified as a Medical Assistant by the American Association of Medical Assistants or as a Registered Medical Assistant by the American Medical Technologists
  • At least 1 year of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical or medical office environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medications
  • Strong computer experience, including working in Electronic Medical Records or Electronic Health Records
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook (email) and Word
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstration of caring and compassion in customer interactions
  • Ability to adhere to daily schedules and duties
  • Reliable internet connection (Satellite and 5G connections are not acceptable)
