Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee, part of Covenant Health, is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant in Radiation Oncology for full-time day shift. Qualifications

• Must be certified as a Medical Assistant from a recognized certifying organization.
• American Heart Association BLS required.

Responsabilités

• Assess patient’s general condition and obtain vital signs and weight.
• Assist provider with examinations, diagnostic procedures, and treatments (phlebotomy, injections, suturing, and related office procedures).
• Administer patient medications per provider order and policy (dosage, route, site, documentation).
• Promote wellness by providing patient education materials and conveying provider’s instructions.
• Collaborate with patient, physician, and care team as part of a team-based approach.
• Ensure adequate stock of supplies and well-maintained equipment.
• Schedule patient appointments per provider order and relay information to patients.
• Document all interventions and test results in the medical record.
