Job Overview

The Certified Medical Assistant PRN performs clinical and technical patient care functions, assisting clinic leadership with patient flow while maintaining high-quality, compassionate care.

Essential Responsibilities
  1. Complete data collection and direct patient care tailored to age and developmental stage.
  2. Document all patient interactions according to current standards and policies.
  3. Participate in quality improvement activities.
  4. Assist with scheduling and clinic readiness, including preparing exam rooms and setting up for procedures.
  5. Collect lab specimens and administer approved medications as directed.
  6. Perform other duties as assigned, maintaining flexibility.
Qualifications
Required
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant training program.
  • Current JPS recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Certification from a national registry as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA).
Preferred
  • At least 1 year of experience in a practice setting or hospital-based clinic.
