Location: Indianapolis, IN 46256, United States

Shift: Day Job

Hours: 7:00am - 3:30pm and/or 8:30am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday. Float to Fishers, Westfield, Zionsville, and Castleton locations as needed.

Make a Difference

The Medical Assistant will float among offices within an assigned specialty or geographical area, providing coverage for traditional Medical Assisting duties such as assisting providers with patient visits and procedures, conducting routine laboratory tests, managing referrals, and contributing to quality outcomes for the practice population. The role involves participating in Network quality initiatives to promote best practices.

*Base rate calculated by experience plus $2.00/hr float premium*

Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
  • Diploma from a Medical Assistant program OR a high school diploma plus 1 year of Medical Assistant experience in a physician practice.
  • Medical Assistant certification required
  • Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas, including cleaning and stocking supplies.
  • Room patients and manage efficient provider caseloads.
  • Obtain vital signs, perform EKGs, and collect specimens.
  • Document care using the EPIC EMR system.
  • Perform Point of Care Testing based on patient’s chief complaint and protocols.
  • Process referrals and medication refills.
  • Maintain positive relationships with patients, providers, and staff.
