Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join the Hoboken Primary Care team. This role supports providers, prepares patients for exams, administers injections, collects specimens, performs point-of-care testing, and documents visit details in the EMR to ensure accurate records and seamless patient flow.

The ideal candidate holds a CMA credential and BLS certification, has at least 6 months CMA experience, and familiarity with Epic.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and documenting medical histories.

A typical day for a Certified Medical Assistant may include:

• This position offers a consistent Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:00am - 6:30pm and Tuesday 9:00am - 7:30pm, allowing you to build strong patient relationships while maintaining a work-life balance.
• You must hold a current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential (AAMA, AECA, AMCA, AMT, NAHP, NCCT, NCMA, or NHA) and a current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• A minimum of 6 months CMA experience is required and electronic medical record (EMR) systems, Epic, knowledge is preferred.
