Job summary

Mercy Health in Ohio seeks a Certified Medical Assistant for Waterville Family Medicine. You will work closely with the primary care physician, review and update health records, measure vital signs and prepare exam rooms for visits.

Qualifications include a High School degree or GED, active MA certification, and CPR/BLS. Experience in a medical office and strong patient communication are preferred. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Degree or GED required.
• Active Medical Assisting certification from recognized bodies.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification at hire (preferred at some Mercy locations).
• 1 year of medical assistant experience preferred; 2 years clerical in a physician’s office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and community with excellent customer service in a respectful manner.
• Prepare and review patient charts, ensure test results and records are current.
• Measure vital signs including pulse, respiration, BP, weight and height.
• Perform clerical duties: inventory, referrals tracking, answering phones.
• Troubleshoot and resolve problems promptly as they arise.
• Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
