Duke Health in Durham, NC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support the Preoperative Screening Clinic. The CMA will assist clinical staff, take medical histories, record vital signs, collect specimens, draw blood, and perform basic lab tests while ensuring smooth operations and patient education.

Ideal candidates have completed an accredited CMA program, BLS certification, and 1–3 years of clinical experience.

Formación

• Level I -- Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is strongly preferred. High school or GED graduation is required.
• Level II -- Graduation from a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES is strongly preferred. High school or GED graduation is required.
• Level III -- Graduation from a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHEP or ABHES is strongly preferred. High school or GED graduation is required.

Responsabilidades

• Take medical histories and record vital signs.
• Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
• Draw blood and take EKGs.
• Greet patients and update/file patient records.
• Assist clinical staff and coordinate patient education in the clinic.
