NHHC is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support nursing teams across stations and clinics. The CMA will interview patients, prepare them for treatment, and assist providers with patient care, education and translation. The role requires high school diploma and CPR is preferred.

This position involves working under the DON, floating to different departments, maintaining rooms and equipment, and ensuring accurate EHR documentation while supporting a patient-centered medical home model.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant duties including patient intake, vital signs and documentation.
• Proven ability to operate in a team-based clinic setting and follow nursing policies.

Responsabilités

• Greet patients and visitors courteously by phone or in person.
• Record patient data, vital signs and visit reason in the EHR.
• Prepare equipment and supplies for sterile and non-sterile procedures.
• Assist providers with patient care, education and translation as needed.
• Document orders and ensure accuracy of EHR entries for encounters.
• Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Participate in NCQA accreditation efforts and team huddles.
• Coordinate referrals and prior authorizations and follow up on results.
