The role includes vital signs, patient prep, medication administration, and EMR documentation to support efficient clinic operations. The position requires CMA, RMA, CCMA, or NCMA certifications, BLS, and a commitment to high-quality patient care in a dynamic clinical setting.

Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA); American Association of Medical Assistants
• Registered Medical Assistant (RMA); American Medical Technologists
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA); National Healthcareer Association
• Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA); National Center for Competency Testing
• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA); National Association for Health Professionals (not accepted in SC)
• ABR-OE acceptable if MA certification cannot be obtained (not accepted in SC)
• BLS for Healthcare Providers from American Heart Association (required at hire)

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with examinations and prepare them for the physician.
• Document patient information and vital signs in EMR accurately.
• Administer medications as directed within scope and guidelines.
• Support front desk tasks such as registration and scheduling as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe exam rooms and proper supply inventory.
• Assist with virtual health visits and troubleshoot issues.
