Qualifications

• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), CMA, or RMA certification
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; CPR may be required

Responsibilities

• Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare for consultations
• Assist in patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, ensuring comfort and safety
• Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints
• Perform phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and injections under supervision
• Administer vaccines as requested by the provider
• Conduct tests such as pulmonary function, ECGs, pulse oximetry, and nebulizer treatments
• Prepare and sterilize instruments; assist in minor surgeries; manage specimens
• Manage inventory and ensure adequate medical supplies and medications
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals; maintain EHR and confidentiality
• Verify insurance coverage, collect co-pays, and assist with billing and coding
