Job summary

North Star Health in Southern Vermont and New Hampshire is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to provide administrative and clinical support within the clinic, maintain smooth patient flow, and assist providers with routine procedures. You will document vital signs, manage medical records, schedule and coordinate labs, prepare exam rooms, and collaborate with the care team to deliver high-quality patient care while upholding safety and accuracy in documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; certification as Medical Assistant preferred.
• Active Medical Assistant certification required.
• Experience in a physician office preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists practitioners with caring for office patients and greets them professionally.
• Maintains patient flow and coordinates administrative tasks to support providers.
• Obtains and documents vital signs appropriate to age and visit reason.
• Orders labs and procedures as directed and reviews chart prior to visits.
• Prepares exam rooms, maintains supplies, and ensures clean, organized environments.
• Communicates results and treatment plans to patients as directed by the provider.
