Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited medical assisting program and one year of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Treat staff, practitioners, visitors, and patients with dignity and respect.
• Interview patients to collect medical history, measure vital signs, perform vision screening, and record information in EHR.
• Share information gathered from patients with the care team to support comprehensive patient care.
• Assist practitioners during examinations as needed.
• Administer medications and injections per orders.
• Sterilize and maintain medical equipment; perform in-house lab work and prepare specimens for outside studies.
• Handle routine duties such as paperwork, phones, and portal communications.
• Participate in daily huddles and team development activities.
