Job summary

Eastern Nephrology Associates, PLLC seeks a Certified Medical Assistant I for an on-site, patient-facing role in Kinston, NC. The CMA I will perform PSR and CMA duties, ensuring accurate vital signs, proper charting in the EMR, and direct patient interaction throughout visits.

You will assist providers, manage routine clinical tasks, and support patients and caregivers with professionalism and confidentiality in a fast-paced clinic environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and accurately document vital signs (BP, temp, pulse, weight).
• Record patient information in the EMR and communicate high-risk situations to staff.
• May perform point-of-care testing after training and certification.
• Administer injections (subcutaneous, intramuscular, intradermal) under supervision and document.)
• Provide routine clinical and administrative support to physicians and staff.
• Support patients during the clinical visit while maintaining privacy and professionalism.
• Prepare and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
