Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalency required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain flow of patients to avoid delays for the provider and patients.
• Keep exam rooms clean, disinfected, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Obtain vital signs and reason for visit; prepare patient for visit.
• Assist the medical provider with examinations and procedures.
• Schedule outpatient tests and procedures and manage referrals per practice policy.
• Schedule follow-up procedures and specialty appointments.
• Update patient demographics and immunization records as needed.
• Administer immunizations and medications as directed by provider.
• Process patient calls as needed.
• Perform audiometry, eye exams, EKGs, and spirometry as assigned.
• Assist with front desk duties as needed.
• Pursue professional growth through seminars and trainings.
• Participate in department meetings and projects as assigned.
• Undertake other related duties as required.
• Maintain compliance with licensure/certification and organizational policies.

Education
