Atlantic Health in Summit, NJ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care within our clinic teams. You will handle patient intake, obtain vitals, collect specimens, record medical information, and assist physicians with procedures under supervision.

You will schedule visits, coordinate referrals, guide patients through the health system, and provide compassionate, holistic support aligned with the care plan.

Responsabilités

• Handles patient intake, prior authorizations, updates medical records, and administers appropriate screening tools.
• Records medical information and test results, conducts patient interviews, takes and records vital signs, collects specimens, and administers medication under physician supervision.
• Assists with walk-in and scheduled clinic visits, ensures verification and recording of clinical data and adherence to quality standards.
• Monitors environment for compliance with continual accreditation readiness and evaluates practice schedule for changes or updates.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the certified medical assistant scope of practice, incorporating elements of holistic patient-centered and team-based care.
• Guides patients through the health care system and helps patients arrive at scheduled appointments on time.
• Provides emotional support related to the patient's clinical situation in accordance with the patient's plan of care.
• Assists with referrals of patients to the appropriate specialist for diagnosis or treatment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
