Job summary

Florida Medical Clinic Orlando Health is seeking a certified Medical Assistant to perform patient care in an ambulatory setting. The role supports physicians/APPs, collects patient data, and assists during exams and procedures in Internal Medicine, Zephyrhills, FL.

Requirement includes high school graduation and Medical Assistant training; current BLS; state certification options are listed. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a schedule Monday–Friday 8am–5pm.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent and Medical Assistant training completed.
• Must maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification as a Medical Assistant or registration is preferred or requires case-by-case review.

Responsibilities

• Gathers patient data through interviews and observation.
• Assists patients and families with preparation for examination.
• Assists the physician or APP during examination and procedures.
• Documents, treatments, procedures, and patient education according to policies.
• Enter medication, laboratory and diagnostic imaging orders under provider direction.
• Maintains safe, professional interactions with patients and staff.
