Merit Health Medical Group in Flowood, MS seeks a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support patient care under a provider's supervision. This role covers clinical and administrative tasks, including assisting with procedures, maintaining exam rooms, managing patient intake, and ensuring efficient clinic operations while delivering excellent service.

The position requires CMA certification (CMA-AAMA or NCMA-NCTT) and 0–1 year of experience in a medical setting or externship.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques.
• Proficiency with medical records systems and basic computer applications.
• Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices.

Responsabilités

• Assist providers with clinical procedures such as taking vital signs, wound care, injections, phlebotomy, vaccines, urine tests, EKGs, and splints.
• Prepare and clean exam rooms; manage patient intake and document test results as directed.
• Perform pre-registration, scheduling, referrals, insurance verification, and clinic communications.
• Maintain organized workload and deliver prompt, courteous service to providers, patients, and visitors.
• Monitor and requisition clinic supplies to ensure inventory and equipment readiness.
• Educate patients on medications and health topics and address questions.
